The inaugural ceremony for the first batch of the Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana (PMKVY) 4.0 Special project took place at the NEHHDC Garchuk campus, focusing on the Jacquard handloom weaver course. Participants hailing from Manipur, Arunachal Pradesh, and Assam have enrolled in this training program. The objective of this initiative is to equip individuals from the northeastern region with specialized skills in Jacquard handloom weaving, thereby enhancing their employability and contributing to the growth and sustainability of the handloom industry in the region. Additionally, it aims to foster cross-cultural exchange and collaboration among participants from different states, promoting unity and shared learning experiences.
