Students from the NEF Group of Colleges recently visited the North Eastern Handicrafts and Handlooms Development Corporation (NEHHDC) to gain insights into the rich cultural heritage and traditional craftsmanship of the North East. As part of their visit, the students toured the Textile Testing Lab, the Centre of Excellence, and the Handloom Unit. These visits provided them with a hands-on understanding of the advanced techniques used in quality testing, the innovations driving craft development, and the intricate processes involved in handloom production. The visit served as a valuable educational experience about NEHHDC's role in promoting and preserving the region’s artisanal heritage.
