Report on Culture & GI Treasures of North East India

Roots & Rhythms is a survey report conceptualised during the Ashtalakshmi Mahotsav highlighting the essence of North East Regions GI products and captures insights of awareness and the challenges faced by artisans while paving the way for sustainable growth.

It’s a landmark initiative jointly done by NEHHDC and RIPA from curating Geographical Indications (GIs) thematic pavilions to operating the GI Helpdesk and distributing whitepapers that amplified GI awareness among stakeholders thereby showcasing the cultural and economic significance of Northeast India. The report and findings will play a pivotal role which will serve as a roadmap for promoting Northeast India’s rich cultural legacy and tapestry thereby empowering artisans to thrive in a global marketplace.
