A delegation from PISA recently visited the North Eastern Handicrafts and Handlooms Development Corporation (NEHHDC) to gain insights into its various initiatives aimed at promoting traditional craftsmanship and textile innovation. As part of their visit, they explored the Textile Testing Lab, where they observed the stringent quality assessment processes that ensure the durability and authenticity of handloom products. They also toured the Handloom Unit, witnessing firsthand the intricate weaving techniques employed by skilled artisans. Additionally, they visited the Center of Excellence, which serves as a hub for innovation, research, and training in the handicrafts and handloom sector. Impressed by the facilities and expertise available at NEHHDC, the delegation expressed a strong interest in undergoing Jacquard training under its aegis, recognizing its significance in enhancing their weaving skills and fostering advanced textile techniques.
