NEHHDC successfully organised Northeast Tourism Festival in Ukhrul district of Manipur, in collaboration with Ukhrul Hills Development Foundation and Northeastern Council, Ministry of DoNER in celebration of the diverse culture, traditions, and natural beauty of the northeastern region of India. This festival provides a unique platform to showcase Handicrafts, handlooms and the tourism potential of the eight northeastern states, Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Tripura and Sikkim.
This festival was held at the bank of Huishu River, Ukhrul, Manipur from 27th to 29th April 2023. Visitors could see colorful folk dances and musical performances, delicious local cuisine, and craft of the region.
In addition, Northeast Tourism Festival also offers opportunities to explore the region's natural beauty.
One of the key objectives of the festival is to promote tourism in the northeastern region and showcase the unique attractions and experiences that the region has to offer.
