In observance of World Environment Day dated 05.06.2024, NEHHDC organized a dedicated awareness drive for our artisans, emphasizing the importance of environmental conservation and sustainable practices in their craft. This comprehensive initiative featured a series of informative sessions providing valuable insights on integrating sustainable techniques and materials into traditional craftsmanship. The sessions offered practical advice on reducing waste, using eco-friendly materials, and adopting energy-efficient methods, ensuring that the artisans are well-equipped to make environmentally conscious choices in their work.
Additionally, the event included a prize distribution ceremony for two significant competitions: the Thematic Art Competition on Swachhata and the Waste to Wealth Craft Competition. These competitions were organised to address environmental themes through art, further reinforcing the message of sustainability and environmental responsibility.
This awareness drive reflects NEHHDC’s unwavering commitment to environmental stewardship and our dedication to supporting artisans in adopting practices that not only preserve our cultural heritage but also protect our environment for future generations. By empowering artisans with the knowledge and tools to integrate sustainability into their craft, NEHHDC is fostering a community that values and actively contributes to the preservation of our planet.
