NEHHDC organised a 2 days’ workshop, on 'Assamese Manuscript' in collaboration with Ms. Kaveri Banikya

On the 27th and 28th of July, 2023, NEHHDC organised a 2 days’ workshop, on 'Assamese Manuscript' in collaboration with Ms. Kaveri Banikya. It is one of the first official training workshop which was aimed at exploring the intricate beauty of Assam’s Manuscript Paintings.

The tradition of manuscript painting in Assam is an age-old process which has existed since the 16th Century. NEHHDC took the initiative to organise the event in order to carry forward the tradition, and with a motive to draw inspiration from Assamese Manuscript for developing value-added products through incorporation of these traditional artforms.
