As part of the initiative under Manju Silk, a group of 40 trainees from various Government ITIs visited the North Eastern Handicrafts and Handloom Development Corporation (NEHHDC) to gain insights into traditional and contemporary weaving techniques. This visit aimed to enhance their skills, expose them to advanced loom technologies, and provide them with market-oriented knowledge to boost their craftsmanship. The interaction with industry experts and artisans allowed the trainees to understand the rich heritage of Northeast India's textile industry while also exploring new opportunities for innovation and entrepreneurship. This initiative reflects a commitment to preserving and promoting traditional weaving while empowering the trainees with the tools needed for future economic sustainability.
