On February 27, 2025, the North Eastern Handicrafts and Handlooms Development Corporation (NEHHDC) organized an Entrepreneurship Awareness Programme at the Department of English, University of Science and Technology Meghalaya (USTM). The event aimed to inspire students to embrace an entrepreneurial mindset and explore opportunities in the business world.
Ms. Nandinee Kalita, Former Director of CII and a distinguished motivational speaker, provided valuable insights into the entrepreneurial ecosystem. Dr. Chandana Goswami, Life Coach, Corporate Trainer, and Director of Lifeline Technology OPC Pvt. Ltd., elaborated on the various support systems available for entrepreneurs. Ms. Pollabi Sarma, Founder of Drivemicar, shared her inspiring journey as an entrepreneur.
Adding to the discussion, Mr. Sharique Imdad Hussain, Deputy Manager, L&E, NEHHDC, along with Dr. Mitali Goswami, Head of the Department of English, USTM, and Ms. Shyamoli Mahanta, Executive, NEHHDC, emphasized the vast opportunities and societal impact of entrepreneurship.
