Future Entrepreneurs: NEHHDC’s Entrepreneurship Awareness Programme at Pandu College

On March 5, 2025, NEHHDC successfully organized the Entrepreneurship Awareness Programme at Pandu College, Guwahati, with the aim of inspiring students and nurturing an entrepreneurial mindset. The event brought together industry experts, successful entrepreneurs, and aspiring students for an engaging and informative session on the vast opportunities within the entrepreneurial landscape.

The programme featured an insightful keynote address by Nandinee Kalita, former CII Director, who emphasized the importance of entrepreneurship as a career choice and highlighted the transformative potential of innovative thinking in shaping the future of businesses. She encouraged students to embrace challenges, think creatively, and develop problem-solving skills to become successful entrepreneurs in today’s dynamic economy.

Adding depth to the discussion, Mr. Ratul Kr. Das, representing IIE, NSIC, GT, and ARIAS (Industry Sector), provided valuable insights into the various entrepreneurial support systems available for budding business leaders. He elaborated on the role of financial institutions, government schemes, and incubation centers in providing mentorship, funding, and business development support, making it easier for young entrepreneurs to turn their ideas into successful ventures.

A highlight of the event was the inspiring journey shared by Ananaya Sharma, Founder of Yarn Glory, who detailed her personal experience of building a brand from scratch. She spoke about the challenges faced in establishing a startup, the resilience required to overcome obstacles, and the importance of perseverance in the entrepreneurial journey. Her story served as a powerful motivation for students, illustrating how passion and dedication can transform ideas into thriving businesses.

With an overwhelming participation of 100 enthusiastic students, the Entrepreneurship Awareness Programme was a resounding success. The event reaffirmed NEHHDC’s commitment to fostering entrepreneurship by equipping young minds with the knowledge, resources, and confidence needed to explore new opportunities in the startup ecosystem.
