Tejaswini Assam Ideathon 2024, sponsored by the Women Cell, Industries, Commerce & Public Enterprise Department, Govt of Assam and implemented by the North Eastern Handicrafts and Handlooms Development Corporation Ltd. (NEHHDC) concluded on a high note with a vibrant prize distribution ceremony and an exhibition showcasing the innovative ideas of participants on 21st October at NEDFi House, Guwahati.
Respected dignitaries on the dais included Brig. Rajiv Kumar Singh (Retd.), Managing Director of NEHHDC had expressed his admiration for the innovative ideas presented through this platform.
Dr. B. Kalyan Chakravarthy, IAS, Additional Chief Secretary, Skill Employment & Entrepreneurship Department, Labour Welfare Department, Cooperation Department, and Cultural Affairs, Government of Assam emphasized the vital role of women entrepreneurs in Assam's development.
Dr. Sriparna B. Baruah, Advisor to NEHHDC, announced a mentorship program to support these ventures. She announced that a dedicated mentorship and incubation program will be launched soon to support the participants
Smt. Manjurani Gogoi Talukdar, Joint Director of the Industries, Commerce, and PE Department, highlighted the government's dedication to empowering women entrepreneurs, encouraging participants to take full advantage of available resources and platforms.
Smt. Vaishali Nayak, Joint Secretary of the same department, along with Smt. Indira Kalita, IAS, Secretary to the Government of Assam, reinforced this commitment, showcasing the government’s support for initiatives that foster innovation and economic growth among women in Assam.
Winners received ₹1.5 lakh for first place, ₹1 lakh for second, and ₹75,000 for third, along with special awards for innovative homemakers, women in tech, and the best student ideas.
This event celebrated Assam’s women entrepreneurs and set the stage for future innovation and economic growth.
