We are delighted to announce the successful conclusion of the Assamese Manuscript Art Workshop, a collaborative effort between Axomi Indigenous Story and the renowned artist Shri Sujit Das. Held over the course of five enriching days, this workshop aimed to revive and celebrate the rich heritage of Assamese manuscript art.
Led by Shri Sujit Das, a Guinness World Record Holder and Limca Book of Records Holder for his exceptional skills in manuscript art, the workshop provided participants with a unique opportunity to delve into the intricate techniques and aesthetic nuances of this traditional art form.
Throughout the workshop, participants immersed themselves in the world of Assamese manuscripts, learning about the history, significance, and symbolism embedded within each stroke and motif. Under the expert guidance of Shri Sujit Das, they honed their skills in calligraphy, illustration, and manuscript preservation, gaining invaluable insights into this age-old craft.
The culmination of the workshop saw 19 passionate individuals receiving certificates of participation, recognizing their dedication and commitment to preserving Assamese cultural heritage.
