NEHHDC has been awarded with "SKOCH SILVER AWARD"

We are pleased to announce that Northeastern Handicrafts and Handlooms Development Corporation Limited (NEHHDC) has been awarded with ‘SKOCH SILVER AWARD,’ under the ‘governance’ category’ as ‘Changemaker in the Handicrafts and Handlooms sector of Northeast India.’ The grand finale of the SKOCH award was held on 12th July,2023. Instituted in 2003, SKOCH Award salutes people, projects and institutions that go the extra mile to make India a better nation. They receive this Award for their extraordinary achievements in contributing to the society. The Roll of Honour of the SKOCH Award over the years is a testimony to this. The Skoch SILVER Award is a prestigious recognition presented by Skoch Group, one of India’s leading think tanks and consulting firms in the areas of governance, finance, and social sectors. The award aims to identify and acknowledge exceptional projects, initiatives, and organizations that have made significant contributions in various fields. The Skoch SILVER Award recognizes excellence and innovation in public administration, governance, and service delivery across different sectors. It celebrates initiatives that have successfully implemented transformative ideas, technologies, and practices, resulting in positive impact and improved outcomes. The award evaluation process involves rigorous scrutiny and assessment of nominated projects, which are evaluated based on criteria such as impact, scalability, sustainability, innovation, and replicability. The Skoch Group’s expert panel, comprising domain experts, policymakers, and distinguished personalities, plays a crucial role in the selection process. NEHHDC had presented the transformation, initiatives and developments that had taken place during the past few years in the organisation in front of the Jury. The team of NEHHDC is honoured to receive the award and look forward to keep striving for the upliftment of the artisans and weavers of Northeast India.
