On the second day of the ongoing Swachhata Pakhwada Campaign, which took place on May 17, 2024, a comprehensive awareness program was organized for the Eco Club students of Dakhin Guwahati Lachitgarh High School. This event aimed to educate the young participants on crucial environmental issues, particularly focusing on climate change and effective waste management practices.

The program commenced with an informative session that highlighted the causes and effects of climate change, emphasizing the importance of taking immediate action to mitigate its impact. Students were engaged in discussions about how individual and community actions can contribute to a healthier environment.

Following the climate change session, the students participated in a hands-on workshop dedicated to the segregation of dry and wet waste. The workshop provided practical knowledge on how to properly separate waste at the source, which is a key step in ensuring efficient recycling and waste disposal. Through interactive activities and demonstrations, the students learned the significance of waste segregation in reducing landfill waste and promoting sustainable living.

Overall, the day's activities were designed to empower the students with knowledge and skills to become proactive environmental stewards in their communities.
