On 16th July 2025, NEHHDC had the privilege of hosting a distinguished Thai delegation led by Mr. Kiran Moongtin, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Thailand, accompanied by officials from CEA Thailand, Silpakorn University, Dusit Thani College, and other creative institutions.
The event was further enriched by the presence of Shri Muang Tunglut, Joint Director, Ministry of Development of North Eastern Region (MDoNER), highlighting a unified commitment to strengthening Northeast India’s role in global creative and cultural industries.
Held at NEHHDC’s Craft Promotion and Experience Centre, the programme featured a traditional welcome, curated campus tour, and the signing of a comprehensive Joint Action Plan between NEHHDC and CEA Thailand—laying the foundation for collaboration in design innovation, skill development, artisan exchange, sustainability, and digital branding.
This visit represents a meaningful step in connecting the artistic legacy of Northeast India with Thailand’s dynamic creative economy.
