On the occasion of the International Day for Biological Diversity and as part of the Swachhta Pakhwada Campaign 4.0, NEHHDC organized a comprehensive tree plantation drive. This event was designed to emphasize the importance of biodiversity and environmental cleanliness. Planting saplings is a crucial activity as it contributes significantly to enhancing the green cover, which plays a vital role in maintaining ecological balance. Trees act as natural air purifiers, absorbing carbon dioxide and releasing oxygen, thereby improving air quality. Additionally, they provide habitats for various species, support biodiversity, and help combat climate change by sequestering carbon.During the drive, participants actively engaged in planting a variety of saplings, contributing to the green cover and promoting ecological balance. The initiative not only aimed to enhance the local environment but also to raise awareness about the significance of biodiversity and the need for sustainable practices. By planting saplings, we are investing in a healthier, more sustainable future, ensuring that the benefits of a thriving ecosystem can be enjoyed by future generations. Through collective efforts, NEHHDC hopes to inspire communities to take proactive steps towards preserving our natural heritage and ensuring a cleaner, greener future for all.
