Empowering Assam’s Entrepreneurs: NEHHDC’s MoMSME-Sponsored Management Development Program (MDP) Takes Off! 

NEHHDC launched its Management Development Program (MDP) on November 11, 2024, in Bamunimaidan, designed to uplift local entrepreneurs—especially women—with the skills and strategies needed for sustainable business growth. The first batch brings together diverse talents, from homestay operators to handloom artisans, each eager to elevate their enterprises.

Led by industry experts, the program covers essential topics, including business planning, social media branding, pricing strategies, and navigating financial support. Participants are diving into practical, hands-on assignments to bring these insights straight to their ventures. 

NEHHDC advisor Sriparna Baruah explains, “This initiative is all about handholding support for entrepreneurs as they take charge of their business futures.” This focus on mentorship highlights a commitment to empowering Assam’s business community through impactful knowledge and guidance. 

As textile designer Nayanmani Baruah shares, “With new trends and tech, this program is a huge learning opportunity that will help my business evolve.” Fellow participant Sangita Bhattacharjee echoes this, expressing hope to gain a clear roadmap for her journey ahead.
