Officials from Handloom & Textile Department, Govt. Of Assam and Goibari Weavers Visit NEHHDC

Officials from the Handloom & Textile Department, Government of Assam, along with weavers from the Goibari Handloom Cluster, Tamulpur, Bodoland Territorial Region (BTR), visited the NEHHDC premises. The visit facilitated discussions on enhancing the reach of Bodoland's rich handloom heritage through improved design interventions, skill development, and access to national and international markets. The weavers also had the opportunity to interact with experts and understand NEHHDC’s initiatives in promoting the traditional crafts of Northeast India. This engagement marks a step forward in strengthening the handloom sector and empowering indigenous artisans from the region.
