Third day of the ongoing Swachhata Pakhwada Campaign

On the third day of the Swachhata Pakhwada Campaign 4.0, a comprehensive cleanliness drive was organized at Deepor Beel in Guwahati on 18th May 2024. This event was held in collaboration with Shri. Pramod Kalita, a renowned environmental activist. The activities commenced with the felicitation of Shri. Pramod Kalita, recognizing his significant contributions to environmental conservation. Following the felicitation, an awareness session was conducted to educate participants about the pressing issues of climate change, pollution, and effective waste management strategies.The core of the event was the cleanliness drive, where participants actively collected various types of waste, including paper, metals, and plastics, from the Deepor Beel area. This initiative aimed to not only clean the surroundings but also promote the importance of maintaining a clean and healthy environment. After the collection, the waste was transported to NEHHDC, Garchuk, Guwahati, where it was meticulously segregated into different categories for proper disposal and recycling.To conclude the day, indoor plantations were carried out within the office premises of NEHHDC, Garchuk, fostering a greener and more sustainable workspace environment. This initiative highlighted the commitment to environmental sustainability both within and outside the workplace.
