NEHHDC marked its 49th Foundation Day at its Garchuk premises, signifying an enduring legacy of promoting the handloom and handicraft sector across Northeast India.
The programme brought together traditional dance performances from across the region and curated musical presentations, reflecting the depth and diversity of its cultural heritage. The celebration was addressed by Managing Director Shri Mara Kocho and Shri Harakanta Boro, Regional Director, DC Handicrafts, who highlighted the organisation’s continued focus on institutional growth, artisan welfare, and enhanced market integration.
As NEHHDC approaches its 50th year, the occasion served as both a celebration of its journey and a reaffirmation of its strategic vision for the future.
